Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: September 5, 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Nutrivana Counselling (“we,” “us,” “our”). By booking or participating in services, you (“client,” “you”) agree to the following:
1. Services Provided
Nutrivana Counselling offers personalized nutrition counselling sessions intended for educational and informational purposes only, to support general health and wellness goals. These services are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Clients are encouraged to consult a licensed healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
2. Client Responsibilities
- Clients agree to provide accurate and complete information during consultations.
- Clients remain responsible for their own health decisions and are encouraged to consult their physician before making significant dietary or lifestyle changes.
- Nutrivana Counselling is not liable for outcomes resulting from false, incomplete, or withheld information provided by the client.
3. Appointments and Cancellations
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows will be charged 100% of the session fee.
- For clients with packages or bundles, a missed or late-cancelled session will be deducted from the package balance.
- Cancellations must be made by email (contact@nutrivanacounselling.com) or through the online booking system (if applicable).
4. Payments and Refunds
- Payment is due at the time of booking or service delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Completed sessions are non-refundable.
- Package sessions must be used within six (6) months of purchase, unless otherwise specified.
- Refunds for unused package sessions may be considered at the discretion of Nutrivana Counselling.
5. Confidentiality & Privacy
- All personal and health information shared during sessions is kept strictly confidential, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (including PHIPA in Ontario).
- Information will only be disclosed with client consent or as required by law.
6. Intellectual Property
- All materials provided by Nutrivana Counselling (including handouts, guides, visuals, and digital resources) are the intellectual property of Ivana Holetic.
- Materials are provided for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nutrivana Counselling is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of services, information, or materials provided.
8. Eligibility
Services are intended for clients 18 years of age or older. Clients under 18 must have the consent and active participation of a parent or legal guardian.
9. Modifications to Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. The “Effective Date” will be revised accordingly. Continued use of services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved through appropriate legal channels within Ontario.
By booking a session with Nutrivana Counselling, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
